Xiaomi officially launched today the new Xiaomi Civi 2, a “light flagship” phone that focuses on appearance, thin and light body, and selfie experience. Firstly, the Xiaomi Civi 2 inherits the slimness of its predecessor, with a thickness of only 7.23mm and a weight of 171.8g, making it more comfortable to hold and use without putting too much of a burden on the wrist and arm, and with a dual micro-curved design for a better fit on the first sheet.

The Xiaomi Civi 2 comes in four colourways: thumping pink, icy blue, hazy black and little white dress, of which the little white dress colourway is also specially designed in conjunction with Hello Kitty, with the same texture as the matching Hello Kitty hand-me-down little white dress.

As for the screen, the Xiaomi Civi 2 features a pill-cut 6.55-inch 3D flexible AMOLED screen that supports 120Hz high refresh rate, P3 colour gamut, 10bit colour depth and Dolby Vision, and also supports 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for a more comfortable experience when used at night.

Hidden in the pill-hole is Xiaomi’s most powerful front imaging system ever, with dual 32MP same-Sensor, centred primary cameras capable of DSLR-quality portrait bokeh.

The wide-angle main camera has 1.6um super fused pixels and a super large f/2.0 front aperture, with a 50% increase in light intake compared to its predecessor, as well as ALD coating and lens inking technology used in flagship rear cameras to reduce ghosting glare in night selfies. It also supports AF autofocus for more stable shots and faster results.

The super wide-angle main camera has a wider image, with a 100° ultra-wide angle of view, so you can take selfies without fear of crowds, while the face takes up less of the screen in selfie videos, like a virtual selfie stick on the go, recording richer picture information.

The Xiaomi Civi 2 also features a dual-tone flash in the top bezel for bright, beautiful selfies anytime, anywhere.

The new camera has also been substantially upgraded at the rear, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, 1/1.56″ large base and 101.8% more light intake compared to its predecessor, and a 20MP camera with an ultra-wide angle and a 115° wide angle to accommodate more environmental details.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi Civi 2 is equipped with the first generation Snapdragon 7 mobile platform, the latest processor from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 series, with its core 8 modules extended from the Snapdragon 8 series flagship processor, with a 10% increase in overall performance compared to the Snapdragon 778G, 20% increase in GPU performance and 30% increase in AI performance.

The Xiaomi Civi 2 is very thin and light, but it packs a 4500mAh 4.48V LiCoO2 chemical system battery of the same type as the Xiaomi 12S, complemented by a 67W wired second charge, which can be charged to 100% in 40 minutes.

In terms of price, the Xiaomi Civi 2 is offered in three versions, 8+128GB for 2399 RMB, 8+256GB for 2499 RMB and 12+256GB for 2799 RMB.
