Xiaomi’s 12T/Pro phones may be released on October 4, according to suspected launch posters

The Xiaomi 12S series was officially launched on 4 July, including the Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is only available in China. Earlier this month, it was announced that Xiaomi would be releasing the Xiaomi 12T / Pro phones globally in September. Recently, there has been more news about the release date of the Xiaomi 12T / Pro phones.

According to Gizmochina today, source Abhishek Yadav has shared an image on the social media platform which is suspected to be a poster for Xiaomi’s new launch event. The image shows that Xiaomi will be holding a new event on October 4 at 8 pm Beijing time. Although the image does not reveal what exactly Xiaomi will be launching, the source said that the Xiaomi 12T / Pro phone, Redmi tablet and TWS headphones will all be unveiled at the event.

Although the Xiaomi 12T has not yet been released, some users have already claimed to have bought the Xiaomi 12T Standard Edition for $616 (about RMB 4404.4). The Xiaomi 12T Standard Edition features a 6.67-inch 1.5K resolution screen with a central cut-out straight design and support for on-screen fingerprint recognition. In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 12T Standard Edition is powered by the MediaTek Tiangui 8100 Ultra processor, which is expected to be the main frequency-boosted version of the Tiangui 8100. The device is also available in 8+128GB and 8+256GB storage options.

In terms of imaging, the Xiaomi 12T comes with a 20MP selfie camera on the front and three rear cameras: a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP depth-of-field camera. According to the user’s test, the Xiaomi 12T Standard Edition only supports 1080P 60fps and 4K 30fps video capture and does not support 4K 60fps video capture. In terms of battery life, the Xiaomi 12T Standard Edition has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 120W wired fast charging.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro has already appeared on the Geekbench database and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Previous rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 12T Pro is an overseas enhanced version of the Redmi K50 Supreme Edition. The Xiaomi 12T Pro is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a raw 1,220 x 2,712 screen resolution and under-screen fingerprint recognition.

In terms of imaging, the Xiaomi 12T Pro features a 20MP selfie camera on the front and three rear cameras of a 200MP main camera + 8MP wide-angle camera + 2MP macro camera. In terms of battery life, the device has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. In terms of the system, the device will run on MIUI13, which is based on Android 12.
