This system is known as the “Pilot technology” and isn’t fully in its adoption stage for use at this moment. The company’s CEO gave away the total investment to this cause, which runs into billions of Yuan.
To see the success of this move into the world of autonomous driving, the company is working closely with over 500 specialists. The individuals making this number are working closely with Xiaomi to bring its Pilot technology to the world. There are plans for the Chinese company to grow its partners or talents to drive its autonomous system to 600 members by the end of this year.

As for its adoption, Xiaomi hopes that by 2024 it will be a major player in the world of autonomous driving. Those are some big dreams for the company, and, as we are just a few months away from 2024. From the information the company gives, this system will be able to handle multiple scenarios on its own. Such actions this system will handle effortlessly are U-turns, roundabouts, parking, and continuous downhill driving.
With ever-growing issues concerning autonomous driving, Xiaomi is trying to ensure the safety of its in-house system. To do this, the company is working on running a series of tests with over 140 test vehicles. These vehicles will undergo a series of tests in various conditions to ensure the safety of this system before its rollout next year.
