Xiaomi Redmi K60E is the first batch to be equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200

Lu Weibing, the partner of Xiaomi Group, president of China and International Department, and general manager of the Redmi brand brought an early spoiler through social media today, saying that the first batch of K60 universe new cup type “K60E” Equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 new flagship core.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G mobile chip was released today, using a 4nm process. The octa-core CPU architecture includes 4 Cortex-A78 large cores, with a maximum frequency of 3.1GHz and a Mali-G610 six-core GPU.

MediaTek said that Dimensity 8200 is equipped with MediaTek HyperEngine 6.0 game engine, supports adaptive refresh rate technology, and uses Imagiq 785 image processor (ISP), supports 320-megapixel main camera, and supports 3 cameras to shoot 14-bit HDR video at the same time. In addition, MediaTek Dimensity 8200 integrates a 5G modem, supports 5G Sub-6GHz full-band network and three-carrier aggregation, and also supports Wi-Fi 6E. Smartphones powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 5G mobile chip are expected to be available in the fourth quarter of 2022.

According to previous reports, the Redmi K60 series is expected to be released within two months following the Mi 13 series. It is reported that Xiaomi has developed three Redmi K60 series models, including Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro and Redmi K60E. Currently, the Redmi K60 series has passed 3C certification, only one supports 120W fast charging, and the other two support 67W.
