The POCO C50 will hit the Indian market on January 3, according to industry sources. This will be the third POCO C series phone to be launched in India, following the POCO C31 in September 2021 and the POCO C3 in October 2020.

POCO previously revealed that the POCO C50 would be launched in India in November, but then the launch was delayed. The latest news shows that the release date of POCO C50 has been changed to January 3.
More information about the POCO C50 is not yet clear, but it is expected to have some upgrades based on the POCO C31.
The POCO C31 features a 6.53-inch HD+ display, a MediaTek Helio G35 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 13MP camera, and a built-in 5000mAh battery. For comparison, the POCO C31 is priced at INR 8,499 (about CNY 715).
The POCO C50 also appeared on Google Play earlier this year as model number 220733SPI, codenamed “snow”, and the same model number has previously appeared in the IMEI database. From the codename, the POCO C50 could be the Redmi A1 + a renamed version, which also has the same codename – snow.
