Xiaomi Poco C40 launched with JLQ JR510 chipset

0

In the middle of this month, Xiaomi overseas brand POCO released a new C40 in Vietnam, equipped with a very special processor, JLQ JR510 from domestic manufacturer Overclock. The JR510 is the second self-developed chip and a complete 4G SoC.

It also integrates AI accelerated NPU unit (1.2T computing power), ISP unit, supports up to 1080P+ (21:9) resolution screen, LPDDR4x memory, eMMC 5.1, and UFS 2.1 storage solution, baseband support for 4G LTE Cat 4/7, etc.

Qualcomm as the company’s shareholder gave baseband licensing support, but Tiling Sheng stressed that other aspects of the chip (such as AP, architecture design of the whole mobile SoC system level, Modem interaction, and power management, etc.) are all led by Tiling Sheng, which is not easy for a young company established four years ago.

It is reported that the first self-developed chip by Tiling Sheng is JA310 for AIoT, which is also manufactured by the 11nm process and has been used in security monitoring, AI intelligent access control, and other fields.

At present, the investors of Tiling Sheng already have Jianguang assets, Zhilu Capital, Qualcomm China, Lianxin Technology and Xiaomi Yangtze River Industry Fund, etc. In the track of domestic cell phone processor (SoC), now there are Huawei, Xiaomi and other brands self-research, but also Zhanrui, Tiling Sheng and other three party suppliers, the future “hundred flowers bloom in the spring” situation is really promising.
