0

Recently we learned that Xiaomi has made the latest progress in car manufacturing. It has currently planned three new models, which will be released one after another in the next three years. It is reported that two of the three new cars are pure electric and one is hybrid. Interestingly, the internal code names of the two electric cars are “Modena” and “Le Mans”, while the internal code name of the hybrid version is ” Kunlun”.

Based on previous news, Xiaomi officially announced the recruitment of range-extended system design and development engineers. Therefore, we speculate that future models code-named “Kunlun” may be equipped with a range-extended system. According to the job description in the recruitment notice, the extended-range system design and development engineer will be responsible for the design, development and test verification of the extended-range system; responsible for promoting the detailed design and engineering development of components within the extended-range system; responsible for supplier R&D capabilities and solutions review, assist the supply chain in completing the fixed point; be responsible for pushing suppliers to complete the development, verification, acceptance, etc. of extended range systems as required; and be responsible for research on cutting-edge technology of extended range system products, benchmark industry leading products, and regularly form resource pool analysis reports wait.

It is understood that Xiaomi SU7, which has previously released application drawings, has now entered the fifth stage of production line verification (PT5). In addition, the Xiaomi factory will complete the goal of loading 300 units in December. This The number has doubled compared with November. It is reported that Xiaomi SU7 is one of the two new electric models mentioned above – MODENAT, with the factory code name MS11.

Although it has entered PT5, this does not mean that Xiaomi Motors will achieve mass production in a short time, because according to the process, after the production verification stage, it will have to go through pre-production, small batch production and other links before the subsequent process. It is mass production. Therefore, we predict that Xiaomi cars will not be able to meet us until next year at the earliest, and will be officially launched in the first half of the year.

Regarding the store, the design drawings of Xiaomi retail stores were previously exposed on the Internet, showing that Xiaomi cars will be displayed in its own retail stores.

As a review, Xiaomi SU7 was designed by Mr. Li Tianyuan, the designer of BMW iX. The car applies popular elements in the design level, making the whole car simple and sporty. Its length, width and height are 4997/1963/1440mm respectively, and its wheelbase is 3000mm. It is positioned as a sports coupe model.

The new car is expected to provide three versions including basic version, Pro and Max, with differences in configurations, such as lidar, etc. This is also a common practice in the industry. In terms of power, Xiaomi SU7 is equipped with Ningde era’s ternary lithium battery, with front and rear motor power of 220kW/275kW. It also has a lithium iron phosphate version of Fudi, with motor power of 220kW.
