The French have always had a wild imagination, especially when it comes to cars, and have always come up with something spectacular. Recently, Renault’s subsidiary Mobilize unveiled the official images of its Solo Concept, a three-wheeled, single-seat vehicle that supports charging and battery exchange.

The concept is aimed at the shared mobility market and has a very personal and functional look, so you can’t really say it’s much of a design or a beauty, it looks like an electric bike with a roof.

The figures show that the car is 1370/900/1750mm long, wide and high respectively, and can only accommodate one person driving it, and due to its very small size it can fit six units in a standard parking space.

The interior has a simple steering mechanism and display screen, a single seat with a cushion that can be moved back and forth to adjust the seating position and some storage space, and an airbag and an emergency stop button for dangerous situations.

The vehicle has an inverted three-wheeled motorcycle-like wheel layout, with two front wheels for driving and a rear wheel for steering, and is powered by pure electricity.

What is particularly pleasing is that the car is 50% made of recyclable materials and will be 95% recyclable at the end of its life.

Do you see any market prospects for what is arguably the world’s smallest electric car?
