Baidu Apollo said that Baidu, Waymo and other companies have now crossed the threshold of fully unmanned autonomous driving operations and are intensively promoting the process of large-scale commercialization. Among them, Waymo has recently been approved by the California CPUC to provide unmanned online car-hailing services to the public in San Francisco and some cities in the Bay Area; Beijing continues to expand unmanned testing.

At the Apollo Day Technology Open Day event, Baidu also announced that it will expand its business scale in 2023, carry out fully unmanned autonomous driving operations in more areas, and strive to build the world’s largest fully unmanned autonomous driving operation service area.

Baidu Q3 financial report data shows that in the third quarter of 2022, the order volume of Carrot Kuaipa exceeded 474,000, a year-on-year increase of 311% and a month-on-month increase of 65%.
