According to China Energy Construction Co., Ltd., the world’s highest energy storage power station, which was contracted by the Southwest Institute of China Energy Construction Dangxiongyi photovoltaic additional energy storage project was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation.

According to reports, the additional energy storage project of Dangxiongyangyi Photovoltaic Power Station is 4,700 meters above sea level. The completion of the project has filled the gap in the field of ultra-high altitude photovoltaic energy storage power stations, which can effectively promote the consumption of new energy in the local area and help alleviate the structural power shortage pressure in Tibet. , which is of great significance for improving the regional power supply capacity and improving the peak-shaving capacity of the power grid.

After the project is put into operation, functions such as photovoltaic smooth output, automatic tracking frequency modulation, and two-way variable current control can be realized, which can significantly improve the flexible adjustment capability of photovoltaic power plants and greatly reduce power waste. It can increase the on-grid power of the power station by about 2.6 million kWh every year, which can meet the electricity consumption of about 900 local residents in Tibet for a year.
