Wi-Fi 7 connectivity will be available on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series

Reports from our sources confirm that the 2024 flagship entry Samsung Galaxy S24 series will make use of Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. The entry for next year will stick to Wi-Fi 6E, just like a few other flagship devices that are currently available. This will be an upgrade in the area of establishing connections between the device and the internet for better syncing while browsing or gaming.

On its part, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will hold some of the first devices to launch with Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Other flagship devices will follow through before the feature starts making its way to the more affordable options. This coming standard for connectivity will launch with the processor slated for 2024 flagship devices.

What are the benefits that this upgrade to the Wi-Fi system brings to devices that will make use of it once available? The coming Wi-Fi connection standard will step up the peak speed, making it 2.4x faster than what is currently available. Our sources say that the coming Wi-Fi 7 will use 300MHz channels with some notable improvements to physical and medium access control.

Chip manufacturers like Qualcomm and MediaTek will make Wi-Fi 7 readily available for various OEMs across the world. Qualcomm on its part has a working platform to support the coming standard for Wi-Fi connections. It’s Snapdragon Gen 3 processors will integrate this feature into most flagship Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 series once available.
