Western Digital 1TB expansion card listing appears: available on Microsoft Xbox Series S|X game consoles

In addition to Seagate, this generation of Xbox finally ushered in a new official solid-state storage expansion card. Western Digital WD_BLACK C50 is now on Best Buy, and the 1TB version is priced at $179.99 (Currently about 1237 CNY).

Three years ago, Microsoft launched the Xbox expandable memory card with the Xbox Series S / X game consoles. The price of 1TB is 219.99 US dollars (The current National Bank version is 1699 CNY), which is exclusively manufactured by Seagate, and then launched 512GB and 2TB options, but prices have remained high.

Western Digital’s C50 1TB expansion card is $40 cheaper than Seagate’s equivalent, but foreign media believe that the price of $179.99 is still too high for 1TB of storage, especially when the current Samsung 980 Pro 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD is only $79.99.

It’s unclear when this Western Digital 1TB Xbox Expansion Card will be available, at least no pre-order date from Best Buy, but we don’t think it will be too long.
