WeChat developers submit application versions that support Dynamic Island

One of the most controversial features of the iPhone 14 Pro series has been the “island”. Unfortunately, while the island is indeed quite innovative, the App Store has been slow to allow developers to submit corresponding versions, making it difficult for third-party software such as WeChat to “get on the island”.

Now, with iOS 16.1 about to be officially pushed out, Apple is finally allowing developers to submit apps to the App Store that support new features such as Dynamic Island, which will finally allow WeChat to use Dynamic Island.

It is reported that developers are now able to use the new Live Activity API in their apps to display rich information content in Lively Island and the iOS 16 lock screen interface, which will help improve the user interaction experience.

However, developers should also be aware that after April 2023, all apps submitted to the App Store must be built using the Xcode 14.1 and iOS 16.1 SDKs, at which point apps that do not support the new version will not be taken down, but will not be able to continue to iterate and update properly.
