Volvo held the “Volvo Tech Day” and EX90 China debut event released the pure electric flagship SUV Volvo EX90, and also launched a limited edition of 4-seat Excellence.

The Volvo EX90 is based on a brand-new original pure electric platform. It is positioned as a medium and large SUV and provides 5/6/7 seat layouts. Blackened treatment is adopted, as well as hidden door handles, low wind resistance wheels and other designs.

The EX90 is equipped with Luminar lidar: 5 body radars, 8 cameras, 16 ultrasonic sensors, wavelength 1550nm, the longest detection distance is 600m, and can detect pedestrians 250 meters ahead at night, which is equivalent to 120Km / h driving 7.5 seconds early warning.

The EX90 adopts a new-generation cage body structure, the overall torsional rigidity is 50% higher than that of the Volvo XC90, and the collision energy absorption capacity is increased by 20%. The boron steel upper cover and aluminium alloy frame are used to ensure that the battery pack does not participate in energy absorption.

The EX90 is equipped with dual motors with a maximum horsepower of 517 horsepower, and can accelerate from zero to 100 in 4.9 seconds; it has a built-in 100KWh battery pack, supports bidirectional charging, and has a cruising range of 650km under CLTC comprehensive conditions.
