Volvo EX60 all-electric SUV will debut at the end of 2024, replacing the current XC60

The Volvo EX60 will be unveiled at the end of 2024 and will go on sale in 2025. The new car may be based on the SPA2 architecture. The future EX60 is said to replace the XC60, turning it into a big five-passenger all-electric SUV crossover.

This Swedish company is the only manufacturer among European car companies that has shown 100% support for new energy transitions in the war of words with many traditional car companies, and has announced that it will completely switch to electric vehicles in 2035 car market.

Volvo has previously announced that “every new model from the Gothenburg-based manufacturer will be electric”, including the first electric model, the C40, and the recently launched Volvo EX90. Volvo currently has three electrified models up for sale, with a fourth on the way and a fifth confirmed.

According to the currently known information, the new car will be built based on the latest design concept displayed by the RECHARGE concept car, with a more dynamic and soft body line. At the same time, the new car will increase the use of 5G interconnection technology and lidar automatic driving assistance technology, and the interior will increase the use of large-size touch screens.

The biggest difference between this new EX60 and its big brother is that it will only have two rows of seats and five seats, but the rear space is extremely luxurious.

In terms of power, the new car may be built based on the SPA2 architecture, or it may adopt a new “GPA” architecture, which will support two charging architectures of 400V and 800V. The maximum power of the vehicle is 400kW, and the cruising range of the vehicle will reach 600km. Efficient new electric motor capable of delivering 400 kW of power, nearly 540 hp.
