Volkswagen sets sales target of 1.9-2 million vehicles in 2024

FAW-Volkswagen recently revealed at its annual press conference that its car sales target in 2024 is between 1.9 and 2 million vehicles, and it will accelerate the implementation of electric/hybrid models.

As for the Volkswagen brand, it will take the strategic goal of reaching a scale of one million, advancing both petrol and electricity, and leading in efficiency. The annual sales target is 1.05 million units. Fuel vehicles will continue to maintain their leading advantage, and the ID. family will hit the 100,000 level.

The Volkswagen brand will launch two new products and multiple model years, including the new Magotan and the mid-term facelift golf. In addition, FAW-Volkswagen is independently developing new electric models, and all existing fuel models will be equipped with self-developed new hybrid technology.

As for the Audi brand, it will adhere to the development of “dual petrol and electricity” in terms of products, and the latest PPE platform products such as Q6 e-tron and A6 e-tron will advance the production progress. In addition, the Audi A3 family will also receive a facelift.

As for the Jetta brand, it will expand overseas sales channels in 2024, consolidate its position in fuel vehicles, and accelerate its new energy layout.

It is learned that FAW-Volkswagen’s 2023 full-year terminal sales data has been released, with cumulative terminal sales of 1,910,205 units (including Audi imported cars), a year-on-year increase of 4.8%.

 Volkswagen brand terminal sales reached 1,050,017 units, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%, achieving growth for two consecutive years;

 Audi brand terminal sales were 698,188 units (including imported cars), a year-on-year increase of 9.8%;

 Jetta brand terminal sales reached 162,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%.
