On his first day in office, Volkswagen’s new CEO formulated a plan to speed up the production of electric vehicles and continue the work of his predecessor.

On Friday, Volkswagen unveiled a new all-electric off-roader, the ID. Xtreme, at Tinco. According to reports, the new car is built on the basis of the ID.4 GTX model. In addition to the power improvement, it is also equipped with a series of off-road kits.

Compared with the dual-motor four-wheel drive ID.4 GTX, the maximum power of the ID. Xtreme concept car has increased by 30% (65kW) on its basis, reaching 285kW. Power is mentioned at 382 horsepower, which is 87 more than the standard GTX model. This is also Volkswagen’s strongest ID model to date.

Of course, the Volkswagen ID.XTREME also uses its Modular Electric Drive (MEB) platform, showing its true potential. As head of the MEB product line, Silke Bagshik explains:

"The MEB platform has huge technical potential. For many of our customers, a vehicle is more than just a means of transportation. With ID.XTREME, we're taking Volkswagen's electric vehicles to a new level of performance."

For the interior, ID XTREME uses a set of Alcantara materials, new seats, and a new color scheme.

In addition, ID. Xtreme upgrades include:

18″ off-road tires

Wider wheel arches, higher ground clearance

Features a redesigned front bumper, revised crash bars, and aluminum underbody cladding.

50mm wide rear wing, full of off-road look.

New roof LED lights.
