The official picture of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz GTX was officially released. The car will be equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system. The system has a maximum combined power of 250 kilowatts and a 0-100km/h range. h acceleration time is 6.4 seconds, and it is planned to officially start pre-sales overseas in the summer of 2024. According to previous news, SAIC Volkswagen will introduce Volkswagen ID.Buzz, so let us look forward to whether this high-performance version will be destined to come to the domestic market.

Looking at the new car, the car will launch both standard and long-axle versions. Compared with the regular version, the Volkswagen ID.Buzz GTX version has been redesigned mainly for the lower surround. The fog lamp area on both sides is shaped like a through-through decoration. The wings are average and have integrated daytime running lights. In addition, the new car will also have an exclusive Cherry Red color scheme, and can choose a single-color or two-color body.

Coming to the side, the overall shape of the new car has not been significantly adjusted. It will be equipped with 20-inch wheels as standard, and 21-inch wheels will be available as an option. The rear of the new car has also not been adjusted, but an exclusive logo has been added to highlight its identity.

In terms of interior, the new car will continue to use the GTX style, with extensive use of black and red decorations to enhance the sporty feel. The sports-style steering wheel is equipped with exclusive logos, and it also has an exclusive black roof. It is worth mentioning that the car’s central control screen has been upgraded to 12.9 inches and is equipped with a new infotainment system, smart voice, ChatGPT and other functions. In addition, the new car can also be equipped with an optional HUD head-up display, and the long-axis version is also equipped with a panoramic sunroof with adjustable transparency.

In terms of seats, the new car has a new diamond pattern and exclusive logo. If it were not for the armrests on both sides, it would easily be reminiscent of the seats of the Golf (panoramic view car) GTI. In addition, the standard-axle model will provide 5-seater and 6-seater versions, while the long-axle model can provide three layouts of 5/6/7 seats, both of which support the forward and backward movement of the second row of seats. In terms of trunk volume, the standard-axle version has a capacity of 1121 (5 seats) – 2123L, the long-axle version has a capacity of 1340 (5 seats) – 2469L, and the 7-seat model has a basic trunk volume of 306L.

In terms of power, the new car will adopt a dual-motor four-wheel drive layout, with a combined maximum power of 250km, and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds. It is worth mentioning that the standard-axle version can also tow a 1,800kg RV, while the long-axle version can tow 1,600kg.

Although GTX is Volkswagen’s high-performance label in the pure electric market, it is difficult for us to place it in the high-performance product category, whether it is the maximum power of 250kW or the “100-break” data of 6.4 seconds. For ID.Buzz GTX, perhaps this kind of power performance is just right, which can not only meet the needs of home use, but also occasionally have fun. Of course, it also has the aura of inheriting the mantle of Volkswagen T1. If the price is attractive enough in the future, I believe it can gain many fans.
