The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration disclosed that the Volkswagen Group will recall 32100 vehicles due to three problems.

The recall includes 16,207 2023 ID.4 vehicles whose doors may open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury; 15,874 2022 TAOS vehicles whose fuel transfer pumps may rupture, causing the engine to stall suddenly and increasing the risk of a crash; and 19 2020 Audi Q7 vehicles whose front-facing cameras may overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

Volkswagen is recalling 143,000 Atlas SUVs in the U.S. because a faulty sensor on the front passenger side could cause the car to shut off its airbag system in certain situations. Until the problem is resolved, Volkswagen is advising owners to avoid letting people sit in that seat, especially children.

The recalled vehicles are all 2018 to 2021 model-year Atlas and 2020 Atlas Cross Sport SUVs. according to VW’s filing with NHTSA, VW has not yet determined how to fix the problem, but once it does it will be repaired free of charge and owners who need the recall will be notified by mail.
