Vivo X90 series supports Ray tracing, which can bring immersive light and shadow effects

0

Vivo has now announced that the entire X90 series is now online with its flagship chip-based mobile ray tracing technology.

Ray tracing technology constructs the lighting scene in the game screen by simulating the physical behavior of light, and optimizes image effects such as reflection, refraction, and shadow, so that the game scene presents a more realistic light and shadow effect. After turning on ray tracing, the look and feel of the picture has been significantly improved.

Dimensity 9200 equipped with the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 equipped with the X90 Pro+, all provide corresponding support for the application of ray tracing technology on the mobile phone.

Taking Dimensity 9200 as an example, the chip not only adopts an updated CPU architecture, but also debuts a 3.05GHz Cortex-X3 performance super-core, and also brings a new GPU Immortalis-G715, achieving a 32% performance improvement and 41% power At the same time, the hardware ray tracing technology was successfully ported to the mobile terminal for the first time.

In addition, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 equipped with the X90 Pro + adopts a 4nm process and a new 1+2+2+3 architecture, including a 3.2GHz Cortex-X3-based Kryo super core, four 2.8GHz performance cores ( 2×Cortex A715+ 2×Cortex A710) and three 2.0GHz Cortex-A510 energy-efficient cores. At the same time, the performance of the new generation Adreno GPU is increased by 25%, power consumption is reduced by 45%, and it supports Vulkan 1.3 and hardware-level ray tracing technology.

At present, the vivo X90 series has joined hands with NetEase’s “Tianyu” mobile game to realize the implementation of light-chasing technology on mobile terminals. Vivo said that its joint “Tianyu” mobile game, with the support of chip-level light-tracing computing power, through the combination of self-developed FALCON graphics engine and AI algorithm and the underlying computing acceleration engine, can truly restore the details of the picture for users, presenting immersive light and shadow Effect.
