Vivo is reportedly working on the Vivo X100 series of smartphones. Speculations are rife that Vivo will launch the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro with the Dimensity 9300 chip onboard in November this year in China. It is also being said that the Vivo X100 Pro+ may debut in Q1 2024 in the home market. Well ahead of the launch, a Chinese tipster has leaked the key specifications of the X100 Pro+.

Vivo X100 Pro+ specifications (rumored)

According to the tipster, the Vivo X100 Pro+ will arrive with a 6.78-inch OLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate. However, he is unsure whether it will feature Samsung’s E7 or BOE’s Q9+ panel. The display will be integrated with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. The device is expected to run on the OriginOS 4.0-based Android 14.

Under the hood, the device will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, LPDDR5x RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. The leak has no information about the battery size and charging capabilities of the device. There is no information about the front camera of the device, but it does reveal details about the rear camera setup.

As per the leak, the Vivo X100 Pro+ will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX989 primary camera with a variable aperture. It will be joined by a 50-megapixel IMX598 ultra-wide lens, a 50-megapixel IMX758 portrait (telephoto) lens, and a 200-megapixel telephoto (persicope) lens.

As per a previous leak, the latter could be a periscope zoom camera sensor jointly developed by Vivo and Samsung. It is tentatively called Samsung HPV, a modified version of Samsung HP3, which is capable of offering up to 10x optical zoom. Lastly, the leak also states that it will be an IP68-rated device.
