Vivo X Fold 2 folding screen phone on April 4 through the domestic mandatory product certification, confirmed with a maximum 20Vdc 6A 120W charger.

The phone was previously unveiled at the Boao Forum for Asia and is expected to be released this month (April 2023). The new phone will feature a rear disc triple camera module with a red back cover (vegan skin?). It looks like two Vivo X90 red editions were put together.

The blogger @digitalchatstation broke the news that the phone is equipped with IMX866+V2 ISP triple camera imaging system, no periscope telephoto, weighs more than 10% lighter than its predecessor, and has a thickness that keeps up with the mainstream brigade and is a very thin folding screen.

Vivo product vice president Huang Tao said that Vivo X Fold2 “all-powerful and also thin”, not only has an all-powerful flagship configuration but also has a thin and light flagship feel, is the most powerful folding screen of Vivo so far. In terms of design, the Vivo X Fold2 is unique in that it uses the classical imagery of traditional Chinese culture, “Heaven and earth and the two yi and all the elephants”, to interpret the perfect fusion of oriental mood and modern technology.

Previously, Vivo X Fold2 is expected to feature an 8-inch Samsung E6 screen with 2K resolution, support for 120Hz high refresh and LTPO dynamic high refresh, and support for 3D ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint. Equipped with a second-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, built-in 4800mAh dual-cell battery and support for 120W flash charging, it is the first second-generation Snapdragon 8 folding screen phone that supports 100-watt flash charging.

In terms of imaging, the Vivo X Fold2 features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX866 main camera with OIS optical stabilization, complemented by a 12-megapixel IMX663 ultra-wide angle camera and a 12-megapixel IMX663 telephoto camera.
