Several reports have claimed that the Vivo X Fold+ will be launched by the end of this month in China. Vivo has confirmed today that the foldable phone will be announced on September 26 at 7 p.m. in China.

The Vivo X Fold+ will be arriving as an enhanced version of the original Vivo X Fold foldable phone, which was announced in April this year. The X Fold wasn’t made available outside China. Hence, it is unsure whether the X Fold+ will make it to the global markets.

The official poster released by the brand suggests that the design of the Vivo X Fold Plus will be identical to the X Fold. Like the original model, it will come in black and blue color editions. However, the poster also reveals a new red variant. Rumors are rife that the X Fold+ will be made available in two storage choices, such as 256GB and 512GB. Both variants are expected to feature 12GB of RAM.

Vivo X Fold Plus specifications (rumored)

The Vivo X Fold Plus is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. It will also house a 4,730mAh battery with 80W of wired charging and 50W of wireless charging. The rest of its specifications are said to be identical to the original model.

Hence, it appears that the X Fold+ will have a 6.53-inch cover display and an 8.03-inch foldable inner screen. Both AMOLED panels will offer support for a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and come integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel quad-camera setup, as seen on the original model. It will come preloaded with the OriginOS-flavored Android 12 OS.
