0

From the official information of the IMT-2020 (5G) promotion group of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, UNISOC and ZTE recently successfully completed the 5G R17 version of RedCap key technology laboratory verification and Beijing Huairou field performance test , which is another major achievement of UNISOC in the field of 5G R17 RedCap technology.

The 5G R17 RedCap key technology and field performance test used ZTE 5G NR base station and UNISOC 5G R17 RedCap platform to test the terminal.

Among them, the key technology verification of 5G R17 RedCap has completed the technical verification of functions and performances such as cell access and camping of RedCap terminals, cell reselection and handover, coexistence of RedCap UE and Legacy UE, uplink and downlink peak rate and delay.

The 5G R17 RedCap field performance test has completed the verification of test contents including RedCap UE access and basic workflow, single-user peak throughput, multi-point access and throughput, user plane delay, and mobility test.

According to reports, 5G R17 RedCap can greatly reduce the cost and power consumption of 5G terminals by reducing the complexity of terminal radio frequency and baseband. 5G R17 RedCap, as a key 5G technology and solution for medium and high-speed IoT and industrial IoT scenarios, can be mainly used in wearable devices, industrial IoT and video applications and other application scenarios.
