Ubisoft’s Massive development “Star Wars” game is expected to be announced this year

Ubisoft last month recruited players for a Star Wars game in development to dig into the game’s exploits, working in Malmo, Sweden.

Of course, there are many Star Wars games currently in development, and Massive Entertainment, the developer of “Total Blockade,” may announce more news about its Star Wars open-world game this year.

Creative director Julian Gerighty recently hinted in a tweet that more information about the game is expected in 2023, “2023 means a lot to us. Join the adventure”. Massive’s Star Wars game is said to have been in development for over a year now, starting in January 2021.

Unfortunately, we don’t know any details about Ubisoft’s Star Wars game yet, except that it will be an open-world game and very little else is known about it.

Shortly after Ubisoft’s announcement two years ago, all that was known was that it was in the early stages of development. Last March, tipster Tom Henderson revealed that players might have to wait until 2025 at the earliest to see Star Wars as a game. It looks like it will take some time to see “a galaxy full of question marks”.

What is known is that the Star Wars game is being handled by Ubisoft Massive, a team known for creating highly immersive and visually stunning games such as “Total Darkness 2” and “Crysis 3”.

The game will be developed using Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine, and Snowdrop is known for its extraordinary visual attainments, such as “Total Blockade 2”, “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle” and “South Park: The Complete Breakdown”.

The industry believes that the Snowdrop engine has an excellent performance in rendering highly realistic game worlds (such as Global Crossing), and Snowdrop can create intricate microscopic details in the environment, while also enabling a large open world, I believe this game will bring some surprises to everyone.
