XDefiant is a new free 6V6 shooting game being developed by Ubisoft’s San Francisco studio, which focuses on fast-paced gun battles and incorporates punk rock-like carnival.
Ubisoft today announced that XDefiant will be available for global beta testing on September 29th and PC gamers can now pre-load the game on Ubisoft Connect.
The PS5 and Xbox Series versions of XDefiant have not yet been announced for review reasons. Ubisoft has also said that it is working on PS4 and Xbox One versions of XDefiant, but has not yet announced an approximate launch date.
XDefiant opened closed beta testing on April 14, this game players can choose to experience the game with 4 camps inspired by Ubisoft’s game IP: The Purifiers (“Total Annihilation”), Free Arms (“Crysis 6”), Echelon (“Splinter Cell”), and Shadow Squad (“Ghost Recon: Phantom”).
Each camp contains 3 characters, but only 1 will be unlocked at this time. Other characters can be unlocked through missions. While gameplay progress from this event will not be retained for the official launch version, players can keep the more than 10 exclusive decorative items they have earned until the official release.
