TSMC today announced its net revenue for June 2022: consolidated revenue for June 2022 was approximately NT$175.87 billion, a year-over-year decrease of 5.3% from May 2022 and an increase of 18.5% from June 2021.
TSMC’s revenue for January 2022 to June 2022 totaled NT$1,025.22 billion, an increase of 39.6% from the same period in 2021.
In May, TSMC’s consolidated revenue was NT$185.705 billion (approximately RMB42.155 billion), up 7.6% sequentially and up 65.3% year-over-year to set a new monthly revenue record.
IT Home has learned that TSMC’s Q2 2022 Corporate Presentation will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 14:00. TSMC will refrain from contacting investment institutions and brokerages during the 10-day silent period (July 4~13) prior to the announcement of financial results.
Information on TSMC’s official website also shows that their Q2 earnings analyst Q&A session will be held in the afternoon of the same day, with a number of TSMC executives, including CEO Chieh-Chih Wei and CFO Jen-Chao Huang, expected to attend to give a detailed presentation on Q2 results and answer questions from analysts.
For the second quarter, TSMC had stated in its first quarter earnings report released on April 14 that based on the outlook, management expects revenue of $17.6-18.2 billion, gross profit margin is expected to be between 56%-58% and operating margin is expected to be 45%-47%.
If revenue meets expectations, TSMC’s revenue for the second quarter, year-over-year, will have increased significantly, as well as sequentially. In the second quarter of last year, TSMC reported revenue of $13.29 billion, while in the first quarter of this year, it reported revenue of $17.57 billion.
