Transcend Introduces Multiple Storage, Memory and Monitoring Products at Computex 2023

0

Transcend launched a variety of storage, memory and monitoring products at the Computex 2023 exhibition. Transcend’s product positioning is similar to that of Kingston and Micron. Through retail and OEM channels, it mainly targets the high-volume mid-end market.

Memory products:

Transcend showcased DDR5 UDIMM and RDIMM products covering DDR5-5600 and DDR5-4800 at JEDEC standard speeds.

SSD products:

Transcend did not launch PCIe Gen 5 SSD, but mainly launched PCIe SSD 250H (MTE250H) with heat sink, PCIe SSD 250S (MTE250S) without heat sink and other products.

These SSDs are available in storage sizes ranging from 1TB to 4TB, with sequential transfer speeds of up to 7.5 GB/s read and write speeds of up to 6.7 GB/s.

Transcend also showed off a set of smaller NVMe Gen 3 SSDs in M.2-2230 and M.2-2260 form factors, the MTE300S and MTE400S. The MTE300S is available in capacities of just 256 GB and 512 GB, and the MTE400S is available in capacities from 256 GB to 1 TB, likely for gaming consoles or low-cost desktops.

Mobile SSD hard disk:

The ESD380C shown by Transcend uses USB 3.2 Gen 2×2, ranging in capacity from 500GB to 4TB, supports bidirectional 2 GB/s sequential transfer speed, and weighs only 75 grams.

The ESD310C is a USB drive with USB Type-C and Type-A ports on both ends, and weighs just 11 grams, which Transcend calls its “smallest SSD.”

The ESD310C starts at 256GB capacity, goes up to 1TB, reads up to 1050 MB/s, writes up to 950 MB/s, and uses USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps).

The ESD260C is a slightly larger white + silver portable SSD the size of a car key fob, using a 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface (using a Type-C or Type-A cable) with a sequential transfer rate of 520 MB/s read rate, Write speeds up to 460 MB/s. The drives are available in capacities ranging from 250 GB to 1 TB.

Driving recorder storage

Transcend is also entering the surveillance market with the DrivePro series of dashboard cameras. The company showed off a range of DrivePro cameras (for motorcycles, cars, taxis/Ubers, and large delivery vehicles) in different form factors.

Transcend did not announce the release date and price information of the above products.
