TP-LINK Announces the Release of its First Wi-Fi 7 Router on November 14

According to the hardware inside news, TP-Link will release its first WiFi 7 product on November 14, 2022, opening a new era of home and business networking.

TP-Link says that after WiFi 5, WiFi 6E takes efficiency even further, taking wireless networking to a new level by leveraging the 6 GHz band and 160 MHz channels. TP-Link is at the forefront of WiFi 7 development and will demonstrate the possibilities of this cutting-edge technology. At the event, TP-Link will showcase several devices equipped with cutting-edge WiFi 7 technology.

Speaking of Wi-Fi 7 routers, in June this year, the world debuted the first Wi-Fi 7 home router from Xinhuasan Intelligent Terminal. Officially, the router model is H3C Magic BE18000, which uses Qualcomm’s new generation quad-core chip and supports a maximum bandwidth of 320MHz.

Earlier this year in May, Qualcomm introduced the third generation of its Qualcomm Pro Networking Platform portfolio to support Wi-Fi 7 networks, including the following solutions.

Qualcomm 1620 Professional Networking Platform: Supports quad-band 16-stream connectivity with peak wireless capacity of 33.1Gbps for stadiums, large enterprises and top-of-the-line home mesh networking systems.

Qualcomm 1220 Professional Networking Platform: Supports tri-band 12-stream connectivity with 21.6Gbps peak wireless capacity for enterprise, SMB, consumer and top-of-the-line home mesh networking systems.

Qualcomm 820 Professional Networking Platform: Supports quad-band 8-stream connectivity with a peak wireless capacity of 13.7Gbps for enterprise, SMB, consumer and top-of-the-line home mesh networking systems.

Qualcomm 620 Professional Networking Platform: Supports tri-band 6-stream connectivity with a peak wireless capacity of 10.8Gbps for enterprise, SMB, gaming applications and home mesh networking systems.
