This wallpaper gives you an early taste of the iPhone 14 Pro’s pill-shaped punch hole

Despite the fact that we’re so close to the release of Apple’s iPhone 14, leaks are still happening on a regular basis. Just this week, much of what we thought we knew about the design of the iPhone 14 Pro was debunked. Recent rumors suggested that while the selfie camera and Face ID sensor would have round and pill-shaped punch holes, Apple would digitally connect them with black pixel dots, which would leave the display with not two punch holes, but one large pill-shaped hole. Now you can test out the design on your own iPhone with this special “perforated” wallpaper.

We’ve seen several convincing mockups showing the “real” design of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Personally, I prefer the symmetry of the updated design, but that’s not the case for everyone.

Whether you like it, hate it, or don’t care, you might want to check it out before buying any of the new iPhone models that follow.

Earlier this week, concept artist Ian Zelbo created a wallpaper with a realistic design. See the image in the tweet embedded below. If you want to try the new design, just open the image on your iPhone, make it full screen, and turn the device upside down.

If you want to know if all the rumors are true, tune in to Apple’s event on Thursday, September 8 at 1 a.m. BST. Apple will unveil all four new iPhone 14 models, as well as the Apple Watch Series 8, and more.
