The Witcher 3 has abnormal textures due to the use of community MOD, CDPR will fix it

0

Some players found that “The Witcher 3” seems to have some NSFW content in PS5 and Xbox Series X, such as abnormal excesses and female NPC privacy issues.

In this regard, CDPR issued a document stating that this is “unintentional” because the developers used some third-party MODs from the community, and they are developing a patch fix.

CD Projekt RED has provided Kotaku with a statement stating that it will moderate the indecent content slightly. The studio’s statement reads:

"The next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, in addition to numerous enhancements made and applied in-house by the studio, also has several community mods not originally created by CDPR. Merging these things together was a complex process, and the texture maps presented in the current version were an accident. We are working hard to fix this issue."

Although some players have developed nudity mods before, this is the first time players have seen such realistic details in The Witcher 3. It is conceivable that players will be surprised by this situation, but the community may also feel disgusted by this statement from CDPR.

At present, CDPR has not said when the patch will be launched, but there is a high probability that the indecent content in these MODs will be removed in the next version.

The next-generation update of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” was officially launched on December 14 last year. The next-generation update made a series of visual, performance and technical improvements based on the original game, including ray tracing, HDR and faster host reading. Acquisition speed, and many integrations to further improve the player’s gaming experience, also added a complete Chinese voice.
