The First Official Render Shows Some Details of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4

We may only have a few days left to reveal the details of Samsung’s August Unpacked event before the event begins with a more steady pace of leaked images and details. Earlier this month, we have seen an exact look at the Galaxy Watch5 (standard and Pro versions) and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro true wireless earbuds.

Now we get into the introduction of the real stars, the two foldable phones expected to be unveiled next month. Thanks to the emergence of unofficial, CAD-derived renders, we already knew that the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 were not expected to change significantly from their predecessors in terms of design. And now, with the first official image of one of these phones, the Flip4 in Bora Purple color, we can get even further details about it.

At first glance, this newer model could be compared to the lavender Z Flip3, but a closer look reveals some subtle changes (see comparison above). In addition to the bolder color scheme (and deeper antenna slots), the buttons look slightly larger and may feel better in the hand when the cover is closed. Also more noticeable is the protruding camera lens, which is said to offer a better imaging experience than previous models. The body itself also looks less sharp than the previous ends, perhaps to accommodate a larger battery.

Finally, the key component of the device: The hinge seems a bit narrower and closer to the screen, though this is likely an illusion.
