The current model may become the last song: News that the New BMW 3 Series completely transformed into a Pure Electric Car

According to overseas media sources, a source familiar with BMW said that the production of the current 3 Series sedan and wagon is expected to end in 2027, before the new i3 sedan and wagon based on the Neue Klasse new generation platform may be unveiled in 2025.

At the same time, the news also leaked that the new i3 sedan and station wagon internal code are “NA0” and “NA1”, in addition to the possible production in Europe, Hungary and Mexico, South America plant, the probability will also be introduced to China production.

In the domestic market, the new BMW i3 has been launched, with one model priced at 349,900 yuan, largely following the design style of the fuel version, but with dimensions of 4872mm/1846mm/1481mm and a wheelbase of 2966mm, larger and longer than the BMW 3 Series long-wheelbase version.

It is equipped with BMW’s fifth-generation eDrive powertrain with a maximum power of 210kW, peak torque of 400Nm and 0-100km/h acceleration of 6.2 seconds.

Matched with a ternary lithium battery with a capacity of 70.27kWh, the CLTC has a range of 526km and supports fast charging, with 10 minutes to recharge 97km and a charging time of 35 minutes for 10%-80% charge, the car has a top speed of 180km/h.

It is worth noting that although the BMW 3 Series fuel version may become extinct, but as one of BMW’s best-selling SUVs, the BMW X3 will continue to provide fuel versions until the EU member states reach the time point of 2035 to stop selling fuel cars.
