Sticking to an annual launch tradition, Chinese smartphone company ZTE is set to launch a new device the ZTE Axon 40 on May 9. One of the devices to launch on this day will have a unique feature that its predecessor has. The ZTE Axon 40 (Ultra) will make use of an under-display camera just like the previous model.

Let us now dabble a bit into the specification of the device. The features that will or will not be on this device is not yet officially available, so we will use information gathered from leaks. The device in question will use a 6.67 inches OLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

For high processing power, the ZTE Axon 40, will make use of a clocked or improved Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The setup uses a 64MP main camera, an 8MP and a 5MP lens. On the front, we have an under-display camera sensor that uses a 44MP selfie camera lenses.

Battery life on the ZTE Axon 40 series promises to be impressive with its, 5000mAh battery capacity. The Axon 40’s charger supports 65W fast charge, so there will be no need to worry about charging your device at every point. The device will run Android 12 with a user interface called MyOS or MiFavour OS.

The ZTE Axon 40 series might launch in three variants, the first is the Ultra, next being the Pro, and lastly the base model. The pricing of this device is not out, but we a sure that it’ll be similar to the Axon 30. Judging from this point of view, the Axon 40 might cost around $600.
