Microsoft Xbox has been at a disadvantage in terms of exclusive games in recent years, but now the situation will change. After eight years in development, Bethesda’s stellar game, Starfield, will finally be officially released later this week.
According to a post on LinkedIn by David Reitman, the leader of the Games Industry, there are more than 500 developers of “Starfield”, with a budget of more than 200 million U.S. dollars.
Some netizens compared Sony’s “The Last of Us 2”, which cost $220 million to develop. However, the development time of “Starfield” is longer and the volume is larger, so many foreign netizens feel that 200 million US dollars is still too little for a game of this level. For comparison, Rockstar spent $540 million on Red Dead Redemption 2.
“Starfield” will be pre-released on August 31, 2023, and will be released on Xbox Series X / S and PC on September 6, 2023. Those who pre-order the digital deluxe version can experience it early on September 1, and the game will debut Join XGP.
