The Apple Watch Ultra can’t actually be turned off manually

From the first generation to the Series 4, Apple’s Apple Watch cannot always display the time like ordinary watches. Since Apple Watch Series 5, Apple has solved this problem by introducing related functions, which can display the time even when it is turned off.

There are three battery states for the Apple Watch before the battery runs out.

Apple introduced the Apple Watch Ultra last September, which has only two battery states before the battery runs out.

That means users can’t actually turn off the Apple Watch Ultra, so the only way to really turn it off is to wait for the battery to run out. After you choose to turn it off manually, you can press and hold the digital crown to display the time just like other Apple Watch models in Power Reserve mode.

The only way to completely turn off Apple Watch Ultra today is to run out of power, which typically takes a few days. Even if the Apple Watch Ultra shuts down when the battery runs out, users will still be able to wake up and see the time for some time to come.

The Apple Watch Ultra is not the first Apple device to remain functional when turned off. iPhone can set aside enough battery to keep “Find My” on so it can be found if it is lost and turned off.

As we’ve been reminded, the Apple Watch can’t be completely turned off even after the watchOS 9 upgrade.
