A 9,000-ton die-casting machine needed to produce the parts for the electric pickup truck was reported in October to have arrived in Houston, followed by one to Texas, at Tesla’s Texas mega-factory, where the Model Y is produced.

In addition to the 9,000-ton die-casting machine, Tesla’s Cybertruck production line for electric pickups also requires a large number of robots and other equipment.

In terms of robots needed for Tesla’s entire vehicle production line, Tesla previously published pictures in their earnings report showing that they have a large number of KUKA robots on their production line, and for the Cybertruck production line, it is expected that KUKA robots will still be used.

The latest reports from foreign media also show that there are 66 Kuka robots, which arrived in Houston on December 18. The source also said that all of Tesla’s vehicle production lines have Kuka robots and that the batch that arrived in Houston is expected to be used for the Cybertruck line.

In the report, the media also specifically mentioned that Tesla’s entire vehicle production line needs more than 66 Kuka robots, but some of them are starting to arrive, which means that Tesla may have started building the Cybertruck production line, which is still in the early stages.

The foreign media also mentioned in the report that during the same period last year, Tesla Texas was building the Model Y production line, when a large number of Kuka robots were also found to be delivered.
