According to Reuters, three people familiar with the matter have revealed that Tesla is preparing to revamp production of its best-selling Model Y.

Two of the people, who requested anonymity, said the Model Y revamp involved the exterior and interior of the crossover electric vehicle, which aims to begin production in 2024, and which Tesla has given a codename to project: Project Juniper.

Reuters previously reported that Tesla is already working to revamp its Shanghai factory in preparation for a revamped version of its Model 3 sedan, a project the company calls Highland.
