According to foreign media reports, Tesla has delivered nearly 3 million electric vehicles in the entire 10 years ending in the second quarter of 2022 since it delivered its first car in the third quarter of 2012. According to the foreign media’s calculations, the company has delivered a cumulative total of 2,899,877,000 electric vehicles as of the second quarter of 2022. Based on recent trends and Tesla’s overall guidance, Outside Media expects the company to reach a cumulative total of 3 million vehicle deliveries sometime in late July or August.

Tesla’s 2022 second quarter production and delivery report, released earlier this month, showed that the company produced 258,580 vehicles and delivered 254,695 vehicles in the second quarter, down from the first quarter of 2022.

In the first half of the year, Tesla delivered 564,000 vehicles, well above the 386,200 units delivered in the first half of 2021. June of this year was reportedly the highest month for car production in Tesla’s history.

With production picking up at Tesla’s global superfactories and supply shortages easing, the company is on track to deliver more than 1 million electric cars in 2022, an amount twice as many as last year.

Tesla is reportedly set to report its second-quarter 2022 earnings on July 20 after the close of trading in the U.S. Eastern time. In addition to announcing its 2022 second-quarter earnings, the company will also hold a second-quarter earnings conference call at approximately 5:30 p.m. that day.
