The Financial Times quoted four people familiar with the matter as saying that Tencent is increasing its overseas investment and is looking for game studios worth acquiring in the European market.

The report pointed out that Tencent’s game revenue in 2022 will be US$24.5 billion, 73% of which will come from China. According to the report, due to various factors such as anti-monopoly supervision and balanced adjustment of income structure, Tencent chose to seek more investment opportunities in overseas markets.
