Tecno Pova 3 launched with 90Hz LCD screen, 7,000mAh battery: specifications, price

Tecno has finally announced its latest offering, the Pova 3. The new Tecno smartphone is coming with a 6.9” screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 50MP main camera. This is the successor of the Tecno Pova 2 which was announced last year. At the moment, the device is announced only for the Philippine market and is expected to launch globally soon.

Tecno Pova 3 specifications and features 

The key selling point of this new smartphone from Tecno is its humongous 7,000 mAh battery. According to Tecno, the users will be able to use the device for at least two days, before they feel the need to charge the smartphone.  

Well, this is not the only surprise Pova 3 is coming with. Tecno has also introduced some battery enhancements. There’s a Super Power Saving Mode and a new reverse charge function. This new feature lets the users charge other devices with up to 10W speed. Tecno Pova 3 supports 25W charging speed but it comes with a 33W charger in the box.

Now, the device is featuring a 6.9” LCD screen with FHD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate. At the front of the device, there’s an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. At the back, there’s a 50MP main camera along with two 2MP auxiliary sensors. 

The device will be powered by MediaTek’s Helio G88, accompanied by 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB expandable storage. The smartphone also has a fingerprint scanner on the side and a headphone jack. Tecno Pova 3 will be running HiOS based on Android 11.    

Tecno Pova 3 price and availability 

Tecno Pova 3 will be available in three colors. There’s an Electric Blue, a Tech Silver, and an Eco Black.  

The device has two variants. The base model with 4/64GB is priced at PHP 8,999 ($172) and the top model with 6/128GB is priced at PHP 9,399 ($180). Pova 3 will be available for sale starting 31st May 2022 only in the Philippines, followed by a global launch at a later date which hasn’t been announced yet.
