Tecno released the Pop 7 Pro phone in early February, but there was no standard version at the time. Now Tecno Pop 7 standard version model has appeared on Google Play Management Center website. It appeared on the Geekbench website last October and received FCC approval in December.

The Google Play admin center shows the phone has a 720 x 1,600 resolution (20:9) display, and while the size isn’t explicitly listed, it’s expected to be in the same range as the 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD on the Pro model. According to the FCC, the phone measures 164 x 74 x 8mm, roughly the same size as the Pro.

The Tecno Pop 7 is equipped with the ZTE Unisoc SC9863A chip (IT House note: the chip supports 4G LTE, not 5G networks), which was previously built into products like the Tecno Pop 5 LTE in 2021. The new phone will come with Android 12 Go and HiOS 12.

The Tecno Pop 7 phone has only 2GB of RAM. The Pop 7 Pro has 3GB of RAM and a Helio A22 chip, so it runs full Android 12. According to the FCC, the Tecno Pop 7 phone will have 64GB of internal storage and support for 10W charging.

The FCC’s Tecno Pop 7 schematic shows the basic dual rear cameras and fingerprint recognition.

The Tecno Pop 7 has an octa-core processor (four 1.6GHz Cortex-A55 cores and four 1.2GHz cores), a PowerVR GE8322 GPU, 2GB of RAM and Android 12, according to the Tecno Pop 7 score site.
