At the Phantom X2 launch event, the Transsion Holding company also unveiled their second laptop, the Tecno MegaBook S1. Being the second laptop from Tecno this new product stands out in a few ways from its predecessor. For its processor, the company bumped up to use the new generation of Intel Core processor on this new laptop.
The design of this laptop stands out without any MegaBook write-up spanning across the laptop which was the case on the MegaBook T1. Tecno says that their new laptop is both ultra-slim (13.5mm) and lightweight (1.35kg) making it very portable. The screen is a 15.6-inch 3K resolution display panel, offering 450nits of brightness and 120Hz refresh rate.

To aid typing in the dark, the new Tecno MegaBook S1 comes with a backlit keyboard and adequate key travel. This laptop comes with the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage capacity. The processor on board this laptop and its memory capacity will run demanding apps and software programs effortlessly.
For easy usage, this laptop comes with a 180-degree viewing angle. There is a fingerprint sensor embedded in the top right-hand corner of the laptop’s keyboard frame. For video calls and pictures, the new Tecno MegaBook S1 comes with a privacy camera just above the screen display.
Other features of this laptop include a 70Wh battery which supports 65W GaN fast charging. The laptop runs Windows 11 out of the box, with some extra connectivity features to aid cross-collaboration with Tecno smartphones. The pricing of this new laptop from Tecno starts at $1500 and will soon be available for purchase in the coming weeks.
