According to reports, in terms of transmission efficiency, the current eDP single-lane transmission rate is up to 8.1Gbps, while the VBO single-lane transmission rate is only 2.97Gbps. At the same time, because eDP adopts a micro-packet structure, it can realize the simultaneous transmission of more data; In terms of space occupation, eDP can use fewer data line pairs to transmit more data. With the current mainstream display resolution, the eDP interface only needs 4 pairs of high-speed differential signal lines, which effectively saves the number of wires and space costs. , which can be better compatible with the subsequent 8K resolution requirements; in terms of security, the eDP circuit is simple, and the electromagnetic interference is small, and it has a strong copyright protection function.
The eDP interface can support resolutions such as 38402160 and 51202160, and can cover 8K resolution in the future. RK3588, MT8195, Qualcomm WOS series (7C / 8C series), Zhanrui T710 / T7150 and other tablet processing chips can be selected.
