Tata Group to produce Apple iPhone 15 / Plus phones in India

Apple is expected to release the new iPhone 15 series in September this year. Now a new report says that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be assembled in India. Tata Group has already received an assembly order for the iPhone 15 series. and distribution rights in the country.

According to a new report from TrendForce, Tata Group, which recently acquired Wistron, will now assemble a small portion of the iPhone 15 series smartphones in India, so it now has an iPhone production line in India. Tata Group will be the new contract partner for iPhone manufacturing in India, making it Apple’s fourth manufacturer after Foxconn, Pegatron and Luxshare Precision.

According to the report, Tata Group will assemble 5% of Apple’s iPhone 15 series phones, while Foxconn, Luxshare Precision, and Pegatron will still occupy the main share. Foxconn will still have 70% of assembly orders for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, while orders for the iPhone 15 Plus will account for 60%.

Luxshare Precision will receive 25% of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro Max orders; Pegatron will receive 35% of iPhone 15 Plus orders and 30% of iPhone 15 Pro orders. Finally, Tata Group will not assemble the iPhone 15 Pro series (Note: It is expected to include iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max) phones.
