This model is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor + 2.5K high color gamut touch screen, aluminum-magnesium alloy body, weighs about 685g, pre-installed Windows 11 system, and can provide 13.4 hours of long battery life.

In fact, this is the Chinese version of Xiaomi Book S 12.4, which was released overseas in June last year and focuses on business offices.

In terms of performance, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 processor is already far inferior to the current mainstream thin and light book processors, which use the Samsung N7 process, the CPU is a class A76 architecture of 8-core 3.0GHz Kryo 495, Adreno 690 GPU, Geekbench single-core score of only 760 points, multi-core only 3072 points.

In addition, the device comes with 8GB of LPDDR4-2133MHz memory, 256GB of storage space, expandable up to 512GB via a micro SD card slot, 38.08 Wh / 4,920 mAh battery, and 65 W fast charging support.

As for the screen, the 12.4-inch IPS LCD touchscreen is still impressive, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels, 500 nits peak brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.

Other than that, the 2-in-1 notebook is designed with an aluminum-magnesium alloy body, weighs 685g, comes with an ARM-based version of Windows 11, and has a USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack for ports.

Xiaomi Book S 12.4-inch tablet specifications and features

Xiaomi advertises that this new tablet ticks three boxes, portability, versatility, and productivity. For portability, its lightweight build makes moving it around easy as a tablet or a laptop (when with its detachable keyboard). It can as well fit into different work environments while stationary (laptop mode) or on the move (tablet mode). The processor on this tablet is the Snapdragon 8cx Gen2 from Qualcomm.

For its screen size, this tablet spans 12.4-inch bringing its close in size to the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. This is an LCD screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio for a great viewing experience. The refresh rate on this tablet clocks at 60Hz and supports multi-touch.

Available storage with the Xiaomi new Windows tablet is 8GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB worth of storage. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera and a front-facing camera for face unlock and video conferencing. Connection promises to be stable since the tablet supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. On this tablet, Xiaomi boasts a battery life that’ll last 13.4 hours of regular use on a single charge.

Xiaomi Book S 12.4-inch tablet price and availability

This device just launched along with a few other smart products from Xiaomi. It’d be available for purchase on Xiaomi’s official site in a few days. It ships with a charging brick and is available in only one colour, Dark Grey. Concerning the detachable keyboard, it will retail separately and so will the Xiaomi smart pen.

The retail price of the first Windows tablet from Xiaomi is €699 (~$740) and it will soon be available for purchase. The detachable keyboard will retail for €149.99 (~$158). Similarly, the smart pen will retail for €99.99 (~$105.4) this is the only device that is currently available on Xiaomi’s online store. The tablet along with its detachable keyboard will be available for sale sometime in the future. This tablet is available in Europe, and we know that it’d also launch in other Asian countries.
