Earlier today, a tipster leaked some of the configuration info on the upcoming Xiaomi tablet via Digital Chat Station. The upcoming tablet is the Xiaomi Pad 6, and it is expected to be released in August this year.
According to the tipster, the upcoming Xiaomi Pad 6 will have at least two iterations. The first one’s display will offer a 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This model is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 processor.
The high-end version, on the other hand, will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor. The tipster also clarified that the new Xiaomi Pad 6 series will come with a bigger screen, a new body, and a completely new design.
Reportedly, the Xiaomi Pad 6 has already passed the EEC certification, The device has a model number which is 22081283G and it has also been assigned a codename, L83.
Xiaomi Pad 5, Pad 5 Pro specifcations
Xiaomi released the Xiaomi Pad 5 last year. The Xiaomi Pad 5 features an 11” IPS LCD screen and a 120Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 860 processor. There are two variants with 128GB and 256GB internal storage. Both carry 6GB of RAM. The has a single 13MP camera and it features a huge 8,720 mAh battery, capable of 33W fast charging. This tablet is available in three colors; Cosmic Gray, Pearl White, and Green.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro features the same 11” IPS LCD screen and 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. Unlike the vanilla model, the Pro model comes with three variants. It comes with RAM variants of up to 8GB and internal storage up to 256GB. This model has a 50MP camera and it features a smaller 8,620mAh battery, capable of 67W fast charging. This tablet is available in two colors only; Black and White.
