Since the Wi-Fi 6 standard was first made public, more and more routers supporting Wi-Fi 6 have entered the market, and users can also easily purchase routers that support the more modern Wi-Fi 6E standard , the standard adds a new 6GHz channel, as well as the common 2.4GHz and 5GHz channels.

Samsung flagships have had Wi-Fi 6 connectivity since the Galaxy S10, but not many mid-range devices support it yet. This year, Samsung added a new device to its list of mid-range Galaxy smartphones that support Wi-Fi 6: the Galaxy A54 5G.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is equipped with a new Exynos 1380 chip, which is Samsung’s first mid-range Exynos chip to support Wi-Fi 6, so the A54 5G phone also supports the standard. Wi-Fi 6 has many advantages, with higher download and upload speeds, works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands, and more importantly, Wi-Fi 6 routers can support connecting more devices than Wi-Fi 5 routers , without slowing down.

To get the latest speeds, make sure your router supports Wi-Fi 6/6E (A54 5G only supports Wi-Fi 6, but a Wi-Fi 6E router is a better choice if available locally). Users can check their router’s product page, or if they have a modern Galaxy smartphone that supports Wi-Fi 6/6E, just look for the number “6” written next to the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar to confirm.

The Samsung Galaxy A54 phone is equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, supports up to 120Hz refresh, and a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits; it has a built-in 5000mAh battery that supports 25W charging, and runs One UI 5.1 based on Android 13. Front 32-megapixel main camera, rear 50-megapixel main camera (supports OIS optical image stabilization, with dual-pixel autofocus), 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and 5-megapixel macro lens. The starting price in the United States is 449.99 US dollars (currently about 3100 CNY).

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series flagship phones have been on sale for a while, and some Galaxy S23 series users are now reporting that they are facing Wi-Fi-related issues.

Some Galaxy S23 series devices display a “Not Connected to the Internet” message even though they are connected to a Wi-Fi router with an active Internet connection. The issue affects the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ do not appear to be affected by the issue. The issue reportedly occurs on phones connected to Wi-Fi 6 networks. Even after disabling the option to switch to mobile data in the Smart Wi-Fi section, the problem persists.

The only way to solve this problem is to turn off Wi-Fi and then turn it on again. It is reported that Samsung is working on this issue, which may be resolved in the next software update. Since all three devices in the lineup use the same Wi-Fi chip and processor, and only the Galaxy S23 Ultra is facing this issue, it could be software related.

If you have the same problem with your Galaxy S23 series smartphone, you can connect it to a Wi-Fi 5 network to see if the problem still exists. Hope Samsung fixes this issue soon.
