At the Ubisoft Foresight 2023 event, Ubisoft announced the real machine demonstration video of “Star Wars: Outlaws”. The latest news from foreign media PCGamesN has revealed some details of the first open world game in the Star Wars series: providing a reputation system and a space combat system.

It is said that the game will be equipped with a reputation system, and different actions of players will change the reputation of different factions. This gameplay is similar to classic RPG (role-playing) games such as “Radiation: New Vegas”. The “space battle” scenario will have players hopping between planets and fighting for their characters’ survival at every turn in the game.

It was previously reported that the game background of “Star Wars: Desperadoes” is set between “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”. Together with good partner Nix, seek freedom in the dangerous universe and try to start a new life.

Players can freely deal with the major criminal groups in the galaxy through fighting, stealing or outsmarting, and get on the most wanted list of the galaxy empire.

At the Ubisoft Foresight Conference 2023 held today, the official announcement of this animated series “Captain Laserhawk – A Blood Dragon Remix” jointly created with Netflix, which is expected to premiere exclusively on Netflix in the fall.

This animation seems to be a work derived from the “Blood Dragon” DLC expansion pack of “Far Cry 3” in 2013, and it is also a fusion of Ubisoft IP and nostalgia for the early 90s .

Series creator Adi Shankar (producer of Netflix’s Castlevania series) said, “Seven years ago, I got a call from Ubisoft asking me to make an anime adaptation of their very, very, very serious IP”,” However, I come here with an idea inspired by the atmosphere of Blood Dragon. The concept is based on Ubisoft’s vast library of characters and finally mixed them into a fascinating anime series, which will become this letter to the 90s. love letter to … or at least my memory of the 90s.”

Shankar described the series as a violent, dystopian novel in the spirit of Aldous Huxley, but also a satire, dark comedy, love story and “what you’ve seen in a long time.” The most philosophically minded show.”

According to the NME website, Ubisoft has confirmed that it is undertaking a “strategic restructuring of its European business subsidiaries,” following rumors that the company will close some of its European subsidiaries.

Ubisoft is a well-known game developer and publisher in France. It owns well-known game series such as “Assassin’s Creed”, “Watch Dogs” and “For Honor”. The company has multiple subsidiaries and studios around the world, including Ubisoft Benelux in the Netherlands.

According to a post on the Resetera forum, employees at Ubisoft’s Benelux studio received an email on March 3, 2023, which read:

“We all know that the market is constantly changing and as an organization we need to keep up with it. At present, Ubisoft is facing several challenges caused by external factors, such as the decline of physical game sales while digital sales increase, the centralization of marketing through digital all Our communication channels, the shift from large retail releases to free-to-play, mobile and seasonal games, and fewer large brick-and-mortar shows. In order to meet the challenges ahead, Ubisoft management has decided to close some subsidiaries in Europe. Unfortunately, Ubisoft has Benelux Studios is one entity affected by the expected closure, and most of its staff will leave on April 1, 2023. Due to the closure, Ubisoft BV will completely outsource the current physical game distribution in the Benelux region to a slightly Distributors to be announced later.”

In response, a Ubisoft spokesperson said: “Ubisoft’s publishing organization is undergoing a strategic restructuring of its European business subsidiaries. This is an ongoing process and we have no further details to share at this stage.” This was neither confirmed. There was also no denying whether Ubisoft’s Benelux studio or other European subsidiaries would be shut down.

Ubisoft’s CEO has come under fire recently for underperforming his games and blaming his employees. Ubisoft’s current situation is not good either. “Blue Sea and Black Sail” has been postponed again, and several projects have been reported to be cancelled. It’s not all bad news though, as Ubisoft still has unannounced “big, high-quality” games in the coming year.

Since the release of “Far Cry 6” in 2021, the “Far Cry” series has been a bit quiet and considering that this is one of Ubisoft’s signatures, we think it will soon welcome Come to a new generation of sequels.

Accurate Uncle Party @Tom Henderson reveals that Ubisoft Toronto is working on two new Far Cry games, a single-player Far Cry 7 and a multiplayer game.

Far Cry 7 was codenamed Project Blackbird, while the multiplayer game was codenamed Project Maverick. Both projects are being developed by Ubisoft Toronto, with participation from Ubisoft Montreal, he said.

The projects are said to have originally been developed as a single game under the vision of longtime Far Cry senior producer Dan Hay but were split into two games when he left Ubisoft for Blizzard.

Both games are set in Alaska. It’s worth mentioning that back in 2015, Ubisoft asked fans if they wanted to play an extreme survival game of Far Cry in remote Alaska. He said that the tentative release date of the game is the fall of 2025, but this time is more optimistic, and there is a high probability that there will be an extension.
