Sony PlayStation officially previewed and announced the upcoming arrival of the new work.

In addition, The Last of Us Remake is now available for preloading, and the PS5 file size is about 68GB, not the previously expected 79GB size. Users in New Zealand and Australia can already preload on the PS Store, but they will have to wait until the official release on September 2 to play.

The game has now been launched on the Sony PS Store and is open for pre-order. Simplified Chinese has been added, and details of the specifications of each version have been released. At present, the Firefly version of the game has been sold out in the United States.

The remake version is described as having significantly enhanced in-game assets, textures and character models. In addition to visual enhancements, The Last Survivor: Remake will also support all PS5 features, including fast loading, 3D audio, haptic feedback for DualSense handles and adaptive triggers, and more.

The Last of Us Remake getting a September launch 

One of the most celebrated Naughty Dog games, The Last of Us is getting a remake and it will land on PS5 on September 2nd, 2022. Surprisingly, Sony has ordered a PC version as well. It is currently under development and targeting a later release. 

The launch date for the PC version is yet to be announced. The remake is titled The Last of Us Part 1. So, a remake for the sequel, or at least, a PC port of the sequel is not out of the picture.

According to the developers, the Last of Us Remake will have the same story but it will have improved character models and better visuals. The 2014 version of the game already had exceptional visuals and character design but it seems like Naughty Dog is ready to go ten steps further with the Last of Us Part 1. 

The Last of Us Part 1 will be priced at $69.99 for PS5. The prequel DLC named, The Last of Us: Left Behind will be included in the bundle. Pre-orders will be available real soon. 

It seems like Sony is getting ready to conquer the PC platform. This all may have started with the God of War PC version and it seems like, Sony is appreciating the love getting from the PC gamers. Earlier this month, the company ordered Marvel’s Spider Man’s Remastered Edition for PC. Now, the Last of Us is following the same steps. It won’t be long before the rest of the PlayStation exclusives land on PC.
